The Wine Advocate:

Same as the 2013, the 2014 Albillo is produced with the grapes from an extremely old (over 90 years of age) vineyard in Cadalso de los Vidrios at 800 meters altitude on sandy, granite soils, which was planted by the grandfather of one of the members of 4 Monos. The must from the whole clusters fermented and matured in 300- and 500-liter oak barrels for ten months. There are notes of dry straw, pollen, nuts and beeswax, quite balsamic, with nice integration of the oak. The palate shows the voluptuousness of the variety while keeping the freshness and acidity. It ends with the classical slightly bitter finish, but less bitter than others. 960 bottles produced.

4 Monos finally have their own small winery in the village of Cadalso de los Vidrios in the province of Madrid. Their wines are sold under the Vinos de Madrid appellation even though they belong to the Garnacha de Gredos association and to the Gredos geographical zone. They focus on Garnacha but also have one white from the local Albillo grape, and surprisingly enough one Cariñena, as they found out that one of the small plots of vineyards they found was mistakenly planted with Cariñena. And that Cariñena is quite nice, by the way...
In 2013 they produced 7,200 bottles and in 2014 they grew to a grand total of 8,500.
