Descripción

La historia de este vino se remonta a 1842, cuando Monseieur Delisse, un experimentado agrónomo, se hizo con los viñedos situados alrededor de Château du Dehez. Más tarde, la propiedad cambió de manos y fue adquirida por Barton & Guestier, Entonces pasó a llamarse Château Magnol. Los esfuerzos tuvieron su recomPensa en 1987, cuando el viñedo fue clasificado Cru Burgeois. En honor a esa historia nació este vino, elaborado a partir de las tres variedades más utilizadas en los 'blends' de Burdeos: Merlot, Cabernet sauvignon y Cabernet franc.

Nariz
Fina y elegante. Exhibe aromas de regaliz, de canela, de vainilla y de frutos rojos.
Boca
Equilibrada, con taninos aterciopelados y con deliciosos sabores afrutados que dan paso a un final especiado.
Temperatura de servicio
Se recomienda servir a 16 ºC.
Consumo
Hasta 2027 si se conserva en óptimas condiciones.
Maridaje
Ideal con risotto con champiñones, con paella y con salteado de judías mediterráneas.

Opinión de los críticos

Decanter:

So scented and floral on the nose, the Cabernet Franc really standing out and expressing itself despite being only 5% of the blend. There is a clear richness and ripeness to the fruit - the plush, crushed velvet texture holding up the blackcurrant and black cherry flavours. A touch jammy but staying just the right side with quite fine, slightly tight tannins that give a push-pull between fruit density and tension, closing down the structure slightly. This has good potential, just a little quiet at the moment, but I love the very clear blackcurrant flavours and the hint of savoury herbs and delicate violet touches. Feels finessed and has an air of elegance to it.

James Suckling:

Aromas of currants, plums and cherries follow through to a medium body with fine tannins and a fresh, clean finish. Nice and crisp. Drink after 2022.
