The new single-vineyard 2018 Laborum de Parcela Malbec Finca Alto Los Cuises comes from their higher-altitude vineyard, looking for freshness and an elegant and fruit-driven red. It has moderate alcohol and contained ripeness. It fermented in concrete egg with indigenous yeasts and matured in oak barrels for 12 months. 3,000 bottles were filled in March 2019.
Complex, savory plums, mint and cedar with a hint of tobacco leaves. Very fresh acidity with tight but very fine tannin. Restrained on the palate, but not bland. Very well-poised wine with underscored elegance. Drink now or hold.
