Descripción

La Grande Dame rinde homenaje a Madame Clicquot que en 1818 elaboró ​​el primer rosé d'assemblage conocido mezclando algunos de sus vinos tintos de Bouzy con sus blancos. Esta señora solía decir: "nuestras uvas tintas dan los mejores vinos blancos". La Pinot noir es la gran protagonista con un 90% de la mezcla. Las uvas provienen de crus históricos de la casa. Además, se le añade vino tinto de una sola
parcela, Clos Colin, ubicada en Bouzy, un Grand Cru terroir. Esta es la 9ª edición de este vino.

Nariz
Notas florales de violeta, lila, rosa y flores blancas junto a recuerdos de frutos rojos (grosella, cereza, arándano).
Boca
A su paso notamos las sensaciones de pan, brioche. café y notas ahumadas y especiadas (anís, pimienta blanca).
Temperatura de servicio
Entre 6 y 8 ºC.
Consumo
Hasta 2028 si se conserva en óptimas condiciones.
Maridaje
Platos vegetales, de cocina asiática, mariscos, pescados, arroces marineros.

Viñedo y elaboración

Descripción
Viñedos de Pinot noir en las zonas de Ay, Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay y Bouzy, de Chardonnay en Avize y Le Mesnil-sur-Oger y el vino tinto de la mezcla proviene de la Parcelle Clos Colin.
Clima
Continental. 2012 fue un año con una cosecha soleada que dio vinos intensos, bellos, con buena acidez y fuerza.
Vinificación
Método tradicional con la segunda fermentación en la misma botella en la que se venderá.

The 2012 Brut Rosé La Grande Dame is the finest wine I've tasted from Veuve Clicquot in several decades. Offering up aromas of red berries, bee pollen, orange zest and freshly baked bread, it's medium to full-bodied, pillowy and precise, with a deep core of fruit and a vibrant, tightly coiled profile, concluding with a penetrating, sapid finish. This isn't the muscular, powerful Clicquot style of yesteryear, but it's a compelling effort in a fine-boned, more polished register. - William Kelley.
