Opinión de los críticos
The 2022 Birak is a fruit-driven Garnacha from a vineyard in Dicastillo and another one in Olite. It is varietal with a rustic twist, characterful, juicy, clean and very pleasant. It contains 10% Tempranillo, has good ripeness at 14% alcohol and keeps a pH of 3.31 and 6.4 grams of acidity that provide freshness and balance. It fermented destemmed in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in stainless steel and a part in used French oak barrels for three months. 6,335 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2023.
The youngest of the single varietal Garnachas from Aseginolaza & Leunda, only part of this wine spends a very short time in oak (one to three months). The result is an exuberantly fruity wine full of red cherry and rose. And despite its precise acidity and chalky lift, it is from the riper 2022 vintage so lacks nothing in intensity. 2024-26
