The 2023 Selección Especial #1 is their more approachable and fresher of the sweet wines, produced with Moscatel de Alejandría grapes. All the sweet wines come from old vines on slate soils in the Axarquía zone of Málaga. The grapes are dried in the shadow inside the winery (instead of outside in the sun, as was the tradition) to achieve further concentration, and the wines have natural alcohol. This one fermented in stainless steel, where it was kept with lees for four to five months. It has a pale yellow color with some green tints and a nose of fresh Moscatel pulp, herbs, mint and orange blossom. It has 10.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.25, seven grams of acidity (dehydration also concentrates acidity) and 140 grams of sugar. It's velvety, sweet but fresh, very clean and varietal. It comes in 375-centiliter bottles. 8,000 bottles were filled in January 2024.
