Naluar Tinto 2020

The red 2020 Naluar comes from family plots of vines—La Medica, El Cerral, El torrubio, San Juan and Acediano Joven—mostly from the village of Nava de Roa, planted with material from the old Acediano vineyard on limestone chalky soils. It was vinified by plot with indigenous yeasts, and they used more stems in the plots with a higher content of clay. Fermentation and malolactic were carried out in stainless steel, and the aging of the wine was in mostly used and well-seasoned 500-liter oak barrels over the course of two winters. The wine comes through as young and primary, with some lactic undertones and notes of ripe berries without excess, reflecting the 14.4% alcohol. The palate is medium to full-bodied and juicy, with round, velvety tannins. It's clean, fresh and precise. Very good value and easy to drink. 9,775 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2022. - Luis Gutiérrez.
