"The 2016 Branco is a blend of 40% Bical, aged for 10 months in used French oak, and 60% Cercial, aged in stainless steel tanks. It comes in at 12.5% alcohol. This might be the year that I like Vadio's white better than the reds. Fresh and clean, this handles its wood rather well—just when you think it is going to show wood, bursts of acidity overtake it. This has fine tension on the finish and that crisp, lively feel. Yet this isn't just a summer white, as refreshing as it is. It should hold nicely for several years and continue to evolve with cellaring. It may do better than anticipated, but let's start here and take it in stages. There were just 8,500 bottles produced."
