Opinión de los críticos
The 2021 Alto de la Estrella was produced with Garnacha grapes from an old 1.3-hectare vineyard at 1,080 meters in altitude on slate, quartz and rocky soils. In this vintage, the grapes were harvested the first week of October and achieved 14.5% alcohol while keeping a very low pH (3.25), denoting freshness. It fermented with 20% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks and matured in a 2,000-liter oak foudre for 14 months. It's pale and bright, very clean with a very elegant nose, floral and with the sensation of acid berries, denoting amazing freshness. This is beautiful, with intensity, cleanliness, precision, symmetry and elegance. Amazing juice! The label mentions the Arrebatacapas peak and the name of the old grower, Sira, who tended the vineyard all his life. 2,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2022. This vineyard suffered badly from the 2020 summer wildfires, and it's a bit of a mystery what will happen with the wine (smoke taint?) from that year and the plants that burned down.
Añadas: 2021 2019
Nariz con fruta roja, balsámicos. Boca fresco, taninos integrados, muy buena acidez, equilibrado y largo. Se afinará en botella. Top
